Hero — Variant A

Your neighbour's homemade cookies, just a tap away.

Sprout is a Bahrain-first community marketplace where home bakers, crafters and small makers get discovered by the people next door. No storefront, no shipping spreadsheets, just a digital shelf for your hobby.

How it works

A simple shelf, a friendly chat, a local handoff.

No payments to set up. No shipping logistics. Buyers and sellers just find each other and arrange the rest.

For buyers

Find something handmade nearby in three taps.

1
Browse local shelves

Open the app and see what neighbours are making, sorted by distance from you. Sweets, gifts, perfumes, crafts.

2
Chat directly with the creator

Ask about availability, customise an order, request a flavour. No hidden middleman, no Instagram DM tag.

3
Arrange pickup or delivery yourselves

Sprout doesn't handle payments or logistics, you and the seller agree on what works. Pick up at a café, swap at the door, whatever fits.

For sellers

Set up your shelf in minutes, not in a CR application.

1
Set up your shelf in minutes

Pick a name, snap a few photos, list your prices in BD. No formal business registration, no setup fee. Just a tidy little storefront in your pocket.

2
Get discovered by your neighbours

Your shelf shows up to nearby buyers automatically. Word-of-mouth, but with a search bar.

3
Reply to inquiries and grow

Chat with buyers, accept orders, mark them complete. Watch your views and ratings grow as more locals find you.

Shelves to plant your talent on.

Why Sprout

Built for local communities, not for empires.

A handful of values guide the way Sprout is built, and the things it deliberately doesn't do.

Community first

Sprout is for the neighbour who bakes on weekends, the cousin sewing on the side, the friend with a perfume hobby. Local talent finds local hands.

Trust & safety

In-app reporting, blocking, and clear community guidelines keep things friendly. Home-kitchen items show a food safety notice on first contact.

Refreshingly simple

No fees, no commission, no shipping rules to memorise. List in minutes, chat to buyers, agree on pickup. Sprout just clears the path.

Empowering by design

You don't need a CR, a logo agency or a thousand followers. If you make something good, Sprout helps the right people find it.

Trust & safety

A friendly shelf, with quiet guardrails.

We keep things safe in the simplest ways. No legalese, no dark patterns.

Home-kitchen aware

Anything baked or cooked at home shows a friendly food-safety notice the first time you open a chat, ingredients, allergens, and a "made at home" tag. So you know exactly what you're getting.

One-tap reporting

Spam, harassment, anything off you can report it from the chat or the listing. Reports go to a real human, not a black hole. Most are reviewed in 24–48 hours.

Block + community guidelines

Block anyone you don't want to hear from. Our community guidelines are short, plain-spoken, and pinned where they matter, before your first chat with someone new.

Built in Bahrain

Why Bahrain first.

Bahrain is a tight-knit market where word-of-mouth still travels faster than any algorithm. Everyone knows someone who bakes, sews, or paints. but discovery is stuck in Instagram stories and WhatsApp forwards.

Sprout takes that warmth and gives it an address. A digital shelf for every neighbourhood baker, crafter, and home cook. starting with Adliya, Saar, Riffa, Muharraq, and growing outward.

FAQ

Quick questions, quick answers.

Is Sprout free for sellers?
Yes. at launch, listing on Sprout is completely free. No setup fee, no commission, no platform cut. Sprout's only job in the MVP is to make discovery and chat easy.
Does Sprout handle payments or delivery?
No, and that's intentional. Sprout is a discovery and communication platform. You and the buyer agree on pickup, delivery, or meetup and on how to settle up directly in chat. Payments and logistics are deliberately off-platform in the MVP.
I just bake on weekends, is Sprout for me?
Especially for you. Sprout is built for hobbyists and side-hustlers, not professional shops or restaurants. You can pause your shelf any time, set your own contact hours, and only take on the orders you have time for.
How does Sprout keep buyers and sellers safe?
Three things: in-app reporting from any chat or listing; one-tap blocking; and a short food-safety notice that appears the first time anyone messages a home-kitchen seller. We also recommend public meetups for first handoffs.
When can I download the app?
We're in private testing in Bahrain right now and rolling out to the waitlist in waves. Drop your email below and we'll let you know the moment your area opens up.
Will it work in Arabic?
Arabic support including full RTL layout is on the roadmap and is treated as a launch requirement, not an afterthought. The app is English-only at the moment, but Arabic is coming before public launch.

Be first to sprout.
